Texan design duo Jamey Garza and Constance Holt-Garza have brought their highly coveted furnishings line, Garza Marfa, to the Windy City for a show at Kruger Gallery Chicago. The handcrafted designs, which grace Marfa’s Thunderbird Hotel and Austin’s Hotel San José, combine colorful powder-coated-steel frames with leather, canvas, or local woods. The exhibition marks the first time the complete line has been available outside of the company’s by-appointment showroom in Marfa, Texas. “I have been collecting pieces from the Garza Marfa furniture line for a few years now, and it is a line I really believe in—not only from a design perspective but from a human one. There is a soul and warmth to it that I enjoy living among,” says gallery owner Mikelle Kruger. In addition to the furnishings, the show will also feature textiles by Holt-Garza.

Through August 29 at Kruger Gallery Chicago, 3709 North Southport Avenue, Chicago; krugergallerychicago.com
